Mystery Slides - Introduction & Part 1
First, let's address the elephant in the room. It's been nearly four years since my last post here and I have no excuses. With that out of the way, let's move on to the more important stuff.
These slides were gifted to me from my cousin who got them as a gift from a friend. They came with some old camera and film equipment that was very neat to look at. I passed some of the stuff on to my old college roommate in Florida who works in the film preservation field because I knew he'd find a better use for it than I would. But it still looked nice sitting on my shelf for a few weeks.
The slides came in a nice carrying case and included a fairly complete set of what I can only guess are demonstration or presentation slides of the 1955 and 1966 Rose Parades. I'm fairly certain they're protected by copyright so I'm not going to mess with uploading them. They also look fairly common and easy to find online but if anyone is interested, let me know.
The personal photos numbered nearly 200 slides with various people and places in them. They are in fair condition with a good deal of dirt and dust that got included in the digital scans. I'll label them as best as I can with names, dates, and other details.
One side note, I'll be posting six photos as a time and they'll be a little bit random just based on what order they were scanned and uploaded.
